2. Don’t confuse working harder with making progress.

Work Smarter, Not Harder. Different Approach New Solutions .

One of the easiest lessons in life to understand—and sometimes the hardest to practice—is to work smarter, not harder.

If you find yourself doing the same thing five times and getting nowhere, maybe it’s time to stop doing it a sixth time.

Step back. Look at the problem. Find another way around it.

Sometimes we get so caught up trying to make one approach work that we overlook a much simpler solution. We waste time, energy, and patience when all we really need to do is change direction.

I was reminded of that tonight while working on my website. After going around in circles, the solution turned out to be surprisingly simple. I just needed to stop repeating what wasn’t working and try a different approach.

It reminded me of an old saying:

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

But I’d add one more thought:

If it’s broke and you can’t fix it, find a solution that works.

Sometimes the easiest solutions in life are the ones we overlook because we’re too busy trying to solve a problem the same way we’ve always done it.

Whether it’s art, business, technology, or life itself, the lesson is the same.

Don’t confuse working harder with making progress.

Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is stop, rethink, and take a different road.

Work smarter, not harder.
