34. The Commission Process — The Jaguar part 1

So why refine it? Why perfect it? It’s what I’m feeling on a spur moment as I dictate it into ChatGPT, which makes it easier. But then in the same token, it’s kind of like, why turn it into this fabricated story of who I am as an artist? I mean, that’s the reality. I’m starting to see that my message is important just the way it is, just as I feel it, just as I see it, and then the response is good. You know, the commentary, all that is great because it helps put it together in perspective that, hey, it’s not crazy. It’s who I am. It’s what I’m thinking. It’s how I’m feeling, spontaneity in the moment. And then I’m starting to realize, hey, just post that. It’s a blog. That’s what a blog is about: just being real, being honest, and just telling it the way it is. It’s great to dictate into it because it’s a lot of thoughts all coming together in a moment. But I like what I have to say, and then I like the response too. I mean, I’d like to put how the response sees it, or elaborates on it, and makes it sound concrete, and that it’s not crazy, and that it’s just this is this and this is that, and, you know, the real subject living on hope, and I’m saying, well, the real subject is living on uncertainty. Am I insecure? I shouldn’t be, but then there is that kind of insecurity and uncertainty. But then again, that was my whole message, and then I liked exactly what you said. And no, there wasn’t total silence. The customer actually just said, you know, right in the middle of saying, then there’s a jaguar bang, and boom, then he texts and says, Oh. I like where it’s going. I look forward to seeing where it’s gonna happen. Did you say hey? Did you say let it? No. He just said exactly what he needed to say to give me that assurance that, oh, yay! Okay, cool. I know the money’s on the way now. I’m that much closer to it. So there you go. It’s always that feeling of, okay, the uncertainty, that insecurity is dispelled, and I got the assurance I needed. Did I need it? Am I living for reassurance? But, you know, it is a commission. But then again, maybe I do need it. Maybe I need that mysterious person to buy a painting to give me that assurance all the time, that I need assurance that I’m doing the right thing. And, you know, I put all this effort in the last two weeks into my style, into my theme of what I’m doing, and there’s no reassurance. But again, to what I’m saying, I liked what my message was, and I like how the response was. And the response is equally as important as how I see it, because that’s my reassurance. That’s my story. And yes, you said you ended it with, That’s your story. Yes, it certainly is.
