I suppose this brings me back to those drives, the music, and the time I’ve been taking to just get away from everything for a while.
It’s funny how an idea can come from something so ordinary. You’re driving down the road, listening to a song, looking at the scenery, and suddenly you’re thinking about art, creativity, and the importance of having fun.
Maybe that’s what we need more of.
Not necessarily more work, more pressure, or more expectations. Just more opportunities to enjoy what we’re doing.
I don’t think creativity should always feel like work. And I don’t think life should either.
We spend so much time trying to figure things out that sometimes we forget to enjoy the process. We become so concerned with the finished product that we overlook the experience of getting there.
So whether you’re painting a portrait, experimenting with an abstract composition, creating a beautiful landscape, or simply enjoying a drive with the windows open and some good music playing, there’s something to be said for letting yourself have a good time.
We live to create, recreate, explore, and experience. And whatever else you do, let’s keep it fun.
It doesn’t matter if you’re an artist, a philosopher, or a world-leading rocket scientist. We all have the ability to create. We all have the ability to have fun.
And hey, why not bask in the joy of simply being alive? We’re only here for a little while. We might as well enjoy the ride.
Life doesn’t have to be so serious all the time.
Or does it?
